Children First is an EU-funded project aiming at preventing and contrasting school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) among children, with a focus on dating violence. The project is implemented by partners from the UK, Greece, Cyprus, Lithuania and Italy. ![]() “Children First represents a shared effort to educate school children (aged 12-18) in order to prevent and address dating violence from an early age by undermining gender stereotypes, norms and roles that are the main causes of gender-based violence (GBV) among children and teenagers”. ![]() Participate to our First International Conference
The Children First project’s consortium is proud to invite you to its first online International Conference on dating violence in Europe!

Learn more about how Europe is addressing the challenge of preventing teen dating violence, the form of gender-based violence occurring among adolescents and in their first relationships;
Listen to the most prominent experts and professionals from the field;
Discover how to prevent teen dating violence from the bottom up, through children and adolescents’ participation;
During the conference, the Children First consortium will launch: The Children First e-game, based on the theory of behavioural change and addressed to youth. The youth-led awareness-raising campaigns, run at national level on the main social networks in order to promote messages of gender equality and inclusion among children and young people.

Starting from March 2021 the pilot phase of the project the UK, Greece, Cyprus, Lithuania, and Italy will begin!
Children First e-game More than 150 adolescents will test the real-life scenarios of the game, designed to increase their understanding and awareness on gender-based and dating violence.
E-Learning course for teachers More than 350 school teachers and educators will follow the theoretical and practical course aimed at strengthening their existing capacities and understanding on how to identify and tackle school-related gender-based violence.
