RARE WATT TAB HANDLED INDIVIDUAL CASSEROLE #18 EXCELLENT! NO RESERVE!!
Up for auction is a 6 3/8" wide x 4 1/4" tall casserole, measured to the tab handles and to the lid finial. It is in excellent condition, having only a tiny glaze speck on the top edge of a handle. This is shown close-up in the last photo. Please enlarge the photos for a closer look at this scarce piece, noting the dark rich hand painting. There are the usual factory glaze flaws that you always seem to find on Watt, but nothing objectionable. If you enlarge the 4th photo, you can see a few spots of light red, located at about 12:00 and 3:00. I think the artist had a little red paint on his fingers and touched the bowl. I also see another spot on the left side of the 3rd photo. This is fired in, as it wouldn't wash off. I am offering this fine bowl at no reserve, with a very reasonable opening bid.
