ORIGINAL PRINTER'S TEST PROOF 19 1/4" X 30 1/4"  DUAL ADVERTISING BANNER VINYL BANNER
Printing of tests proofs has change over the years and this is a current description of the test proof method. I would like to point out that during the period of 20-40 years ago printer's proofs were being sold and traded to dealers and friends by printer's employees. I am sure that is why some of the variations in posters from the 70's through into the 90's, I have first hand experience of that fact.
Currently before a poster is printed in large quantities, the printer would first print a limited number of posters as "proof" posters. The printers would look over these proofs and make corrections as to color or cropping issues. They would next print a new proof, and sometimes a series of proofs were needed before a final "approved" version was done. Once the final proof was printed, they would then print a number of "printer's test" posters which would then be distributed to everyone connected to the project, so that they could "sign off on it". They would then print the full run of "regular" posters.
THE WAY IT IS TRIMMED HAPHAZARDLY IS BECAUSE IT WAS A TEST POSTER. THE COMPANY AND THE WEBSITE WWW.GALAXYADPRESS.COM DO NOT AND HAVE NEVER EXISTED. IF YOU CAN FIND OUT DIFFERENT LET ME KNOW. GOOGLE CAN NOT FIND THEM. HEINEKEN AND MATRIX RELOADED DID A DUAL CAMPAIGN AND MADE SOME REALLY KOOL POSTERS. IT SEEMS THIS ONE AS FAR AS I CAN FIND OUT NEVER EXISTED. POSSIBLY EVEN AN INTERNATIONAL ADVERTISING COMPANY MAKING TEST POSTERS THAT NEVER WERE MADE
