sweetheart is this,
"JOY",
composition and wood segmented doll by
Cameo Doll Co., circa 1932.
Measuring 11" tall, from the top of her molded, curly head with
molded loop and original, pink satin hair ribbon
to the tip of her precious, pink painted, wooden shoes. She has large, blue painted, side-glancing eyes, cute pug nose, watermelon-shaped, smiling (Kewpie-style) mouth, (molded and painted, curly hair (also Kewpie-style) and excellent coloring and blush. Manufactured by the Cameo Doll Co., circa 1932, she makes a
great companion
to
Cameo's line of vintage Kewpie and Scootles dolls
.  Her composition and paint finish are all original and showing a bit of normal wear for her age.
All her many joints work smoothly making her ideal for posing although she needs a stand or the stringing tightened. She's dressed in a lovely, vintage, printed cotton dress with vintage knit undies that cover that adorable, pudgy body and also her full, red, black and gold
chest label
which reads:
JOY/Des. & Copy't. J.L. Kallus.
She has
joints at her hips, knees, ankles, shoulders and elbows as well as a swivel neck
. She has had no repairs (lip & eye paint touched up long ago) and needs a bit of restoration to some old damage to the top of her head in her hair near the top as well as some overall paint wear from years of play. Adding more photos as quickly as possible.  Other Cameo dolls and items shown are
