Another significant 1960's era National Geographic map. This is a special TWO-sided map . The front side contains a classic National Geographic political (shows national borders) and informational map of the area from Greece to the west and southern USSR and Iran to the east. On it is a large index, plus small map insets of the Route of the Exodus, St. Paul's Four Great Journeys, the Fertile Crescent, and the Crusades . Pinpointed on this side are many brief descriptions of Biblical and other historic events and where they occurred. The reverse side deals specifically with the Hold Land (Israel, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon) with detailed descriptions of historical events and where they occurred. In addition, there is a large map inset of the Walled City of Jerusalem plus an index for this side. This is a collectors item.
Map is approximately 30" x 40".
The National Geographic is known for it's fine maps & detailed information.
