For displaying, protecting, and keeping your treasures dust free. It will hold items up to
2"
thick.
No need to fasten your items with wire or glue. The soft foam filler will hold them securly in place when the lid is closed, so they will not fall to the bottom of the case when hung on the wall. This also allows you to easily remove the item for
closer inspection
.This case will have 2" of foam and the felt cover. There will be 1 layer of 1" foam, one layer of 1/2" foam, ( this will allow more room between the foam and the glass for thicker items) also some filler pieces of 1/2" foam to fill the case to the glass. By adding or removing some of the foam you can adjust the thickness of the interior for your display items.
These cases are stained and then coated with 3 layers of
clear satin
polyurathane (hand rubbed between coats) to give them a beautiful protective finish.
This style has a medium walnut colored stain, with polished brass hardware, locking latches and 2 keys.
All of my cases are assembled with glued and hardwood dowelled corners and reinforced with the decorative metal corners. I use double strength glass (not plastic).  They will arrive ready to hang flat against the wall.
With several 1/4" mounting holes in the back (see photo) they will hang in any direction with
no
bulky metal hangers sticking out from the top or sides!!!!
Colored background material included. You can have
red,
blue,
tan,
green,
or black.
Please specify the background color you want when making your payment.
I also sand and stain the inside of these cases, so you can remove all, or part of the foam filler, and create your own 'shadowbox' type display case.

These cases are handcrafted one at a time right here in my shop in the U.S.A. useing quality materials, and hardware fastened with brass screws, (no flimsy junk on my cases).
